Voting in Federal, State and Local Government Elections

Every Australian over the age of 18 has the right to vote in Fedral and state elections. In these election you chose a candidate to represent your electorate in the house of representatives and. You can vote to chose your local government.If your are registered in the electolral role it is importent to vote on election day. There is a panelty if you do not vote in these elections.
There has been some sugestions to reduce the voting age to 17 years of age.

1991 elected as president
